Icon Healthcare in Banchharampur, Brahmanbaria, required a comprehensive multi-story hospital facility that balances medical functionality with patient comfort and operational efficiency. The design focused on creating a comprehensive healthcare environment that spans the basement through the third floor, incorporating specialized medical departments, patient care areas, and support facilities.

Design Philosophy

Exterior Views: The comprehensive exterior design creates a professional medical facility presence that inspires community confidence while ensuring clear wayfinding and accessibility. We incorporated contemporary healthcare architecture principles that balance impressive institutional presence with welcoming patient-friendly aesthetics. The multiple exterior perspectives ensure visual cohesion from all approaches while addressing parking, emergency access, and public transportation considerations essential for healthcare facilities.

Roof Top Layout: We designed the rooftop to accommodate essential building systems while creating potential for future expansion or recreational facilities that support patient and staff wellness. The layout ensures efficient placement of the mechanical system while maintaining architectural harmony with the overall hospital design.

Canteen Views: The canteen design provides essential nutrition services for patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining hygienic food service standards. We created comfortable dining environments that serve both therapeutic and social functions, while ensuring efficient food distribution and waste management systems that are appropriate for healthcare settings.

Basement Floor Analysis

Basement Floor Lobby: The lobby provides clear wayfinding to specialized services, easing stress and facilitating quick access to departments. Welcoming reception areas reduce anxiety and help patients move efficiently to diagnostic and treatment areas.

Chamber 2 & Special Chamber 1: These specialized consultation rooms provide private environments for detailed medical examinations and confidential patient discussions. The design incorporates the appropriate placement of medical equipment, acoustic privacy, and comfortable seating, while maintaining hygienic surfaces and an efficient workflow for medical professionals.

Pathology Views: The pathology department accommodates complex laboratory functions through an organized workspace design that ensures sample processing efficiency while maintaining contamination control. We incorporated specialized storage, testing equipment placement, and result processing areas that support accurate diagnostic services.

Ultrasound Views: The ultrasound rooms feature specialized imaging environments with tailored acoustic treatment and equipment positioning, ensuring optimal diagnostic capabilities while maintaining patient comfort and privacy during sensitive examinations.

X-Ray Views: X-ray facilities incorporate radiation safety requirements through specialized construction and equipment placement, ensuring both patient accessibility and staff protection. The design strikes a balance between technical functionality and patient comfort during imaging procedures.

Office Views: Administrative offices support hospital operations through efficient workspace design that facilitates medical record management, staff coordination, and administrative functions essential for healthcare facility management.

We designed clear circulation patterns, comfortable waiting areas, and information systems that reduce the stress and confusion typically found in healthcare environments.

Reception: Reception areas offer comprehensive patient registration and information services through ergonomic workspace design that supports extended staff operations while maintaining a professional presentation and ensuring patient privacy during sensitive registration processes.

Report Delivery Views: Dedicated report delivery areas provide two key benefits: they ensure confidential distribution of results to protect patient privacy, and they utilize efficient document management systems to facilitate timely healthcare communication.

Special Chamber Views: The ground-floor consultation chambers accommodate general medical examinations through a flexible room design that supports various medical specialties, while maintaining equipment accessibility and patient comfort.

Doctor Changing Room: Medical staff changing facilities offer hygienic transition spaces that support infection control while providing comfortable and secure environments for medical professionals to prepare for patient care activities.

Counseling Room: A dedicated counseling space provides a confidential environment for sensitive discussions between patients and their families, maintaining the privacy and comfort essential for psychological support and medical consultations.

NICU Views: Neonatal intensive care provides specialized infant care through advanced life support systems, monitoring equipment, and family access, while maintaining sterile environments essential for the care of premature and critically ill newborns.

NVD Views: NVD rooms offer comfortable birthing environments equipped with the necessary medical equipment, while maintaining privacy and accommodating family during the childbirth experience. 

OT-1 Views: Operating theaters feature advanced surgical environments, sterile workflows, and coordination to support complex procedures, all while adhering to strict infection control measures.
