Design Philosophy
Lift Lobby: We designed the lift lobby as a refined arrival sequence. It establishes the residence’s character, suiting modern apartment living in Mymensingh. The space facilitates the transition from a building with vertical circulation to a private residence. It creates a welcoming first impression by selecting thoughtful materials, such as high-quality flooring that extends the interior aesthetic, the right wall treatments, and lighting that provides ample illumination. The lobby offers practical functions, providing initial orientation and offering shoe storage or bench seating. It also defines the design vocabulary that continues throughout the apartment.
Living Room: The living room anchors the residence as its main social and family gathering space, supporting both relaxation and entertaining. Thoughtfully arranged seating promotes easy conversation, while an entertainment center enables enjoyable media experiences. Carefully selected decorative elements infuse personal style. Layered ceiling treatments and recessed lighting create a welcoming atmosphere. Strategically placed lamps provide focused and accent illumination. Window treatments enhance privacy and control natural light. Quality flooring ensures both comfort and durability. This balanced layout offers the comfort families need and standards ideal for hosting guests, making the living room both inviting and versatile.
Basin Area: We incorporated a dedicated basin zone that provides convenient hand hygiene facilities near social areas, allowing guests to freshen up without entering private bathroom spaces. This amenity boosts guest comfort and hygiene, encourages more frequent handwashing, streamlines traffic flow during gatherings, and provides added value for families with children or elderly members. Quality fixtures, storage for hand towels, and thoughtful decorative elements, such as complementary tile work and wall finishes, maintain the visual appeal. Dining & Open Kitchen: We designed an integrated dining and open kitchen area to create an open-plan living space. This reflects modern preferences for social cooking and family interaction during meals, making it easier to connect while preparing food. The space boasts extensive views, establishing it as the residence’s culinary and social heart. The kitchen supports efficiency with appliances arranged for optimal workflow, generous counter space for meal prep, and thoughtfully organized storage. The open concept not only keeps the cook engaged in family conversations but also encourages togetherness, making daily routines more enjoyable and connected.
Strategic lighting enhances visibility, supports tasks, and creates inviting focal points using ambient fixtures, under-cabinet lights, and pendants. High-quality countertop materials, such as granite and quartz, offer exceptional durability and enhance style. Backsplash treatments protect walls and enrich visual appeal. A well-appointed dining area ensures comfort and versatility for both family meals and guest entertaining. Master Bedroom: The master bedroom provides Mr. Aminul with a private sanctuary, featuring verandah access, which directly extends his living space outdoors for enhanced relaxation. Our design balances sleep, dressing, and retreat, promoting comfort and privacy. Dedicated zones support restful sleep, offer generous closet space for dressing, and provide a possible seating area for unwinding. The ceiling design adds subtle architectural interest and layered lighting: convenient ambient light from recessed or surface fixtures, focused bedside task lighting, and optional accent illumination. Quality flooring, refined wall treatments, and elegant window dressings ensure privacy, regulate natural light, and foster a calm, restorative atmosphere.
Master Balcony: The private veranda extends the master bedroom’s space, providing outdoor access to fresh air, natural light, and relaxation. We designed this semi-private zone to support activities from morning coffee to evening contemplation. Durable outdoor flooring resists weather exposure. Weather-resistant furniture provides comfortable seating, while privacy screens utilize architectural elements or plantings to create intimacy. The verandah may include greenery from potted plants or vertical gardens. Shade comes from awnings or pergolas, and suitable lighting allows evening use. This amenity enhances quality of life and provides a peaceful retreat with outdoor connections and fresh air.
Child Bed: The children’s bedroom supports sleeping, studying, and playing. Its flexible design meets developmental needs. We created spaces that balance education with personal expression. A dedicated study desk with task lighting and comfortable seating supports homework. Built-in or modular storage units hold books, toys, and other belongings to keep the room organized. Guest Bed: The guest bedroom offers comfortable temporary accommodation for visiting family and friends. It also has versatile functionality when guests are not present. We created a welcoming environment so visitors enjoy their stay, reflecting Mr. Aminul’s hospitality values. There is adequate storage for guest belongings, comfortable bedding with a quality mattress and linens, and useful amenities such as bedside lighting, charging outlets, and sometimes a small desk or seating area. When not used for guests, the room can serve as a home office, hobby room, or study. Flexible furniture and strategic spatial planning maximize the value of the residence’s space.
