Design Philosophy
Formal Living Room: The formal living room is Mr. Akram’s main guest reception space, designed for important entertaining. We arranged refined furniture, applied elegant aesthetic treatments, and chose lighting to reflect professional success and cultural values. The ceiling incorporates architectural elements to create vertical interest and drama, enhancing the room’s formal style with layered visual appeal. The space impresses guests and encourages gracious conversation, suitable for welcoming distinguished visitors to the Bashundhara community. Decorative moldings and premium materials further enhance the room’s luxury and refinement.
Dining Room: The dining area offers a dedicated space for serving meals on both family and formal occasions. We enhanced meal experiences with appropriate furniture, atmospheric lighting, and spatial planning that support conversation. The ceiling adds subtle sophistication, defining the zone and creating visual interest, while strategic lighting draws the eye and provides the necessary illumination.
Family Living Room: The family living room receives exceptional design attention, with extensive view coverage, serving as the primary daily gathering space for the family. We created comfortable environments for television, conversation, and family activities with practical furnishings and durable materials. The ceiling’s layered design, featuring cove lighting or recessed details, maintains a relaxed atmosphere. Built-in storage and flexible seating address practical needs for various family activities.
Master Bedroom: The master bedroom is Mr. Akram’s private sanctuary, integrating the verandah to expand living space outdoors. We balanced sleeping comfort with dressing, relaxation, and retreat functions using premium flooring, wall treatments, and window dressings to control natural light. The ceiling features subtle architectural interest and layered lighting, creating a restful atmosphere. Distinct zones for sleeping, dressing, and seating support different private activities.
Master Bedroom Verandah: The master verandah receives extraordinary design attention, suggesting substantial outdoor living space. We designed this semi-private zone for activities from morning coffee to evening entertaining, using durable flooring, weather-resistant furniture, and privacy screening. The space may include planters, shade structures, and lighting to support comfort and enjoyment, while enhancing the quality of life and providing fresh air, ventilation, and scenic views.
Child Bedroom: The children’s bedroom accommodates sleeping, study, and play through careful spatial planning. We balanced educational requirements with personal expression by utilizing dedicated desks, suitable lighting, and functional storage. The ceiling may feature playful or creative lighting to appeal to children while fitting the home’s character. Window treatments allow light control for sleep and daytime activities.
Guest Bedroom: The guest bedroom offers comfortable temporary accommodation for visiting family and friends, while maintaining the residence’s high-quality standards consistent with its Bashundhara character. We designed welcoming environments that ensure visitors enjoy comfortable stays, reflecting Mr. Akram’s values of hospitality. These environments incorporate appropriate closet storage, comfortable bedding, and aesthetic treatments that make guests feel valued. The room features thoughtful amenities, including bedside lighting, charging outlets, and potentially an attached bathroom or convenient access to shared facilities.
Kitchen: We designed efficient spaces with modern appliances, ample counter space for meal prep, and organized storage via cabinets and pantries. The layout follows work triangle principles for easy movement between the refrigerator, sink, and stove. Natural light from windows enhances the workspace. Lighting includes ceiling fixtures, under-cabinet lights for counters, and optional pendant lights over the breakfast bar or island.
